“Pro” at Bowdoin College.

September, 2015. Author Katha Pollitt speaks at Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine and GRR listens!  Pollitt’s 2014 book, Pro: Reclaiming Abortion Rights, makes a strong case for the societal benefits of safe, legal, and available abortion.  In the U.S., where 92% of women who have abortions make this choice for personal, social, and economic reasons, it’s time to stop apologizing and simply recognize the importance of abortion as part of reproductive healthcare.  Pollitt (front and center in photo) addressed an auditorium packed with an intergenerational audience.
