International Women’s Day – March 8, 2018.

International Women’s Day is a day when we celebrate the achievements of women and girls all over the world.  But we also recognize the inequalities that still exist in our countries.

We know what a difference it makes when women have full access to comprehensive sexual and reproductive health care, including abortion. Enough studies have shown the difference the access to care, and birth control has made to women, their families, and communities.  

We also know that across the globe 225 million women lack contraceptive services.  These services empower women and girls to decide whether and when to have a child, to continue their education, and to take part in the world beyond repeated childbearing.

Let us join this 14-year-old Indian girl and all girls and women across the world who are advocating for women’s rights and reproductive health care.
