WHAT: An initial in-person gathering of Seacoast New Hampshire residents interested in learning more about exciting reproductive rights activism led by Grandmothers for Reproductive Rights (GRR!). We will learn what concerns and excites granite staters with regards to abortion rights and access, as well as broader repro issues. GRR! staff will highlight the work we are doing to harness the rage and insight of elders to support intergenerational efforts in advancing reproductive health, rights & justice and share how we can build more grassroots power together in New Hampshire.

This meeting is open to any abortion rights supporters in the Seacoast area. People of all ages and genders are welcome; you do not need to be a grandmother to be part of GRR!.

WHAT is GRR!?: Grandmothers for Reproductive Rights (GRR!) works, through education and advocacy, to secure access to sexual & reproductive health, rights, and justice for present and future generations.

GRR! was founded by women who grew up in the 50s, 60s, and early 70s when women in this country had little or no access to birth control. Abortion was illegal, and women were dying after unsafe abortions. We know grandmothers have great power. So, we decided to act. Angry, we formed a group called Grandmothers for Reproductive Rights, nicknamed GRR!.

We are grandmothers in the traditional sense, and also elders of all identities who are committed to “grandmothering” a more just society into being.
